I was taken by an angel of the Lord to the mouth of Hell, and when the angel left, he closed this rather large red door and sealed it with a divine key. Although I’ve never seen this particular model of lock before, I’ve spent some time investigating the cylinder with this small shard of bone. By sticking it in the back of the keyway and slowly pulling it out, I can tell that this is a five-pin tumbler lock, that can easily be single-pin picked using this shed demon scale as a tensioner tool. Let’s try that right now. Alright, nothing on one. Nothing on two. Three is binding firmly, click out of that. Nothing on four. Five is binding, little click there, back to one. Once again, nothing. Two is binding, and we’ve dropped into a false set. Little click out of three. Nothing on four. Little click on one, counter-rotation on two, and we got this open. Okay folks, I think the main takeaway here is that no matter how much faith you place in a mechanism designed to ensure your safety, be it spiritual or physical, there is always a state in which it can fail. Back in 1997, a 6-year-old kid saw this (in)famous scene from GODZILLA VS MEGALON (via HOLLYWOOD DINOSAURS), and he’s wanted more Godzilla (and kaiju) ever since. It’s about damn time he did fan art of it.
I also felt like making a painting that was on the sillier side. We artists take our craft seriously, but that doesn’t mean the subject matter has to be serious. Most of my paintings have been on the serious side, so this ought to shake things up a tad.
Plus, I got to give these 11x17 canvases I got at Five Below a shot. I can finally make 11x17 prints of one of my paintings without having to do any special cropping/resizing.
hello!! i am once again sharing the fact that there’s a free playtest for guilty gear strive on steam, playstation, and now xbox! you can play the game for free with all characters unlocked until the 5th.
if you’re one of those people that have seen bridget, testament, or just anyone or anything in the game that you thought was super cool but were hesitant to try it out for whatever reason, now’s your chance!!
i’d recommend playing with friends if possible because i think that’s the most fun when it comes to fighting games personally, and also this is a CROSSPLAY playtest meaning anyone can play with anyone regardless of platform, so if you’re on PC but your friend is on playstation it’s still OK!
all you gotta do is just go over to the store of whatever platform you’re using and you should find a “GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE- Playtest” or something similar somewhere. if you’re on steam, it’s on the same page as the main game but just scroll until you find this
(not sure how playstation or xbox work, but you should be able to find it somewhat easily if you look for it)
guilty gear strive is a fantastic game and i think it’s very fun to try out as your first fighting game too so please don’t be intimidated and see if you can find the time to give it a shot!!
